WHO I AM

I'm a researcher and adjunct assistant professor in Southern New Jersey with research interest in Microbiology, Evolutionary Biology, Phylogenetics, Adaptation, and Cell & Molecular Biology. I love the fact that I get the chance to teach my students all about the things that made me want to study science.

In my current research, I'm involved in investigating how to work with new teaching methods to improve my student learning outcomes primarily in the first year of college.

I've been very fortunate to be able to combine my love of sciences with my training in management for use in the pharmaceutical world as an Operations Scientist for a large pharmaceutical company. I oversee laboratory operations and management administration ensuring efficient best practices and quality control.

Outside of academics, I'm active in my local community as an advocate on planning, education access, and equality issues. Additionally I'm a serving combat medic with the PA Army National Guard. I'm a former competitive rower and I stay active in the rowing world by coaching and refereeing locally and nationally.
